Why use a manufacturer fuel curve instead of a generic fuel-rate formula?

Diesel consumption varies by engine, alternator, emissions package and operating point. Enter the exact 25/50/75/100% fuel table when available; the built-in values are an editable example only.

How is fuel consumption between load points calculated?

The tool uses linear interpolation between the adjacent manufacturer load points, then multiplies the resulting litres per hour by the duration of each load period.

What does fuel reserve mean?

The reserve percentage is fuel intentionally kept unavailable for the planned outage. You can also enter explicitly unusable tank volume for pickup, tank geometry or operating policy.

How does battery assistance affect the result?

Battery assistance is treated as an energy-equivalent delay before generator operation, based on usable battery kWh, discharge efficiency and average load. It is a planning estimate, not a battery discharge-curve simulation.

Can this replace generator manufacturer sizing and fuel-system design?

No. Final design must verify the exact model fuel table, altitude and temperature derating, minimum loading, transient starting load, tank usable volume, fuel return system, maintenance limits and local storage requirements.
